Natural Gas Water Heaters

Are you tired of running out of hot water before your shower ends? Win the hot water battle and choose the best way to heat your water---use natural gas!!!

A high-efficiency natural gas water heater will provide you with twice the hot water as an electric water heater. You'll have plenty of hot water to go around, no matter how many people live in your home. It's the natural choice of America.

Natural gas water heaters are a lot more efficient than an electric model. You can save up to half the cost in most cases using natural gas water heaters. The new high-efficiency power vent models can save you even more. They do not even need a chimney to vent into---they use PVC vent pipe and vent right outside the foundation wall into the atmosphere. Talk to a qualified plumbing contractor for details.

Roanoke Gas Company can provide you with a contractor referral list to obtain free estimates for your project. Call one of our Marketing Representatives at 777-4427 or email Customer Service at Be sure to include your name, address, account number, and the reason for your contact in your email.

Converting to Natural Gas is easy. If your home is currently located on a street that is served by our natural gas line, you may qualify to have a natural gas line extended to your home at no cost what so ever. If you are installing a natural gas water heater in your home to replace your existing electric water heater, Roanoke Gas Company can extend our gas line up to your house foundation at NO COST TO YOU. This would include the installation of the service line from the street to your home, installation of a gas riser and gas meter. Your plumbing contractor would do the final hookup to your home after the inspection has been completed.
